» KKU Welcomes International Students with Warm Orientation for First Semester 2026 (408 Views)

On 29 June 2026, the International Affairs Division, Khon Kaen University (IAD,KKU) organized the International Student Orientation, the First Semester of Academic Year 2026 at Sirikunakorn Meeting Room 3, 2nd Floor, Sirikunakorn Building. The event was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, together with Asst.Prof. Kwankate Kanistanon, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, who delivered welcoming remarks to the international students.

The orientation aimed to help international students become familiar with university life, encourage intercultural exchange, and provide opportunities to connect with fellow students from around the world. Participants also received essential information and support services from various university offices, including International Affairs Division, Graduate School, Bureau of Academic Administration and Development, Office of Digital Technology, KKU Library, and Sports division, KKU.

The program concluded with the International Student Meet and Share session, where representatives of the International Student Club shared their experiences of studying and living at Khon Kaen University. The session provided valuable insights and practical advice to help new students adapt confidently to their new academic and cultural environment.
Currently, Khon Kaen University is home to more than 800 international students from countries around the world. The orientation was conducted in a warm, friendly, and engaging atmosphere, reflecting the University's continued commitment to fostering an inclusive and internationally oriented learning environment.

In the afternoon, the International Affairs Division organized the KKU Campus Tour, offering students an opportunity to explore the University's beautiful and green campus while becoming familiar with key facilities, important locations, and essential student services. Participants expressed that the tour was highly beneficial, helping them gain confidence in navigating the campus and leaving a lasting positive impression of their new university. Students were also impressed by the University's modern facilities and student-centered services, including the KKU Smart Transit Service, the scenic and environmentally friendly campus, and the welcoming support provided by fellow students, faculty members, and university staff. Their guidance and assistance play an important role in helping international students adjust smoothly to campus life and enjoy a fulfilling academic experience at Khon Kaen University.
