Applications are invited for the Ernst Mach Grant – ASEA-UNINET 2027/28, offering students, postgraduates, and researchers from eligible Southeast Asian countries, including **Thailand**, the opportunity to pursue doctoral studies, conduct postdoctoral research, or undertake music practice studies in Austria.

The scholarship is supported by OeAD – Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation, in cooperation with ASEA-UNINET.

Types of Grants
• Full PhD Grant – 36 months
• Postdoc Grant – 4–6 months
• Music Practice Grant – 9 months

 Grant Benefits
• Monthly grant of EUR 1,300
• Travel cost subsidy of up to EUR 1,200
• Full PhD recipients additionally receive a mobility subsidy of EUR 300 per month

Fields of Study
Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, Human Medicine, Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities.

Eligible Countries
Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

General Eligibility
• Applicants must meet the requirements of the respective grant category.
• Maximum age: 35 years for undergraduates, graduates, and postgraduates; 45 years for postdoctoral applicants.
• Very good command of **English and/or German** is required.

1 March 2027
Music Practice Grant: 15 December 2026
