» KKU attends the opening ceremony of “Thailand-Kenya Agricultural Technology Learning Center” to develop international agricultural cooperation (619 Views)

On July 6, 2022, on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the “Thailand-Kenya Agricultural Technology Learning Center” at Kenya School of Agriculture (KSA), Nyeri, the Republic of Kenya via online platform, Khon Kaen university (KKU) led by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D. President of Khon Kaen University and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Darunee Jothityangkoon, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, joined in the honor of giving congratulatory speeches and discussing cooperation in the transfer of Thailand’s knowledge on agricultural technology in the future.  


The Thailand-Kenya Agricultural Technology Learning Center is a collaboration between the Faculty of Agriculture, KKU, the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi and the Kenya School of Agriculture (KSA), Republic of Kenya. It is established to celebrate the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of Kenya. Under the Sustainable Agricultural Technology Development Project Thailand-Kenya, the center consists of 6 learning bases as follows:

1. Soil health and technology for sustainable agriculture and environment
2. Crop water management
3. Agro-bioproducts for healthy planet and food
4. Post Harvest technology
5. Value addition and value chain analysis (banana)
6. Sustainable future for aquaculture
