 Monday December 19, 2022 – His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn assigned Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to the 2022 Degree Conferral Ceremony of Khon Kaen University, which was held at the Golden Jubilee Convention Center of Khon Kaen University. Today, the following graduates are receiving their degree certificates: doctoral degree graduates, graduates receiving higher graduate diplomas, masters’ degree graduates from the Graduate School, the College of Graduate Study in Management and College of Local Administration, bachelors’ degree graduates from the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Architecture, and Faculty of Public Health.

   Upon Her Royal Highness’s arrival at the Golden Jubilee Convention Center at 09:00 hours, Mr. Kaisorn Kongchalad, Khon Kaen Governor, the Chief Judge of Khon Kaen, the Commander in Chief of the 23rd Army Khon Kaen; Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, Chairman of Khon Kaen University Council; Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University and his wife, Dr. Uanjit Panthongviriyakul; members of Khon Kaen University and administrators of the University stood in line to greet and show HRH the Princess to the ceremony auditorium.

At the ceremony auditorium, Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasitha, Ph.D., Vice President for Education and Academic Service presented the ceremonial agenda to HRH. Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, Chairman of Khon Kaen University Council introduced to HRH the University’s President who then reported about the number of graduates this year. Next, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhron bestowed the honorary doctoral degree in philosophy and eastern religions to Phra Racha Bhavana Vachirakorn (In Thawai Santussako) and a degree certificate to a graduate monk. Following this, HRH then conferred the 2022 Honorary Doctoral Degrees, the Golden Phra That Panom Prize, the Outstanding Alumnus Prize, the Sri Mo Dindaeng Prize and the Sri Kalaphruek Prizes to the following people:
Honorary Doctoral Degree for the Year of 2022:
1. Honorary Doctoral Degree in Business Administration: Mr. Phakawat Kowitwatanapong
2. Honorary Doctoral Degree in Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology: Associate Professor Dr. Norie Araki
3. Honorary Doctoral Degree in Systematic Agriculture and Agricultural Development: Professor Dr. Aran Phatanothai
4. Honorary Doctoral Degree in Public Administration: Professor Wutthisarn Tanchai

The Golden Phra That Panom Award: Associate Professor Rangsri Nanthasarn
The Emeritus Professor in Educational Administration: Professor Dr. Theera Runcharoen
The Emeritus Professor in Orthopedics: Professor Sukit Saengnipankul
The Emeritus Professor in Agronomy: Professor Dr. Anan Pholthani

Following this conferral, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn then bestowed the degree certificates to the 2022 graduates of Khon Kaen University as mentioned above. HRH then gave the Royal Guidance as follows: “His Majesty the King has assigned me to perform the degree conferral of Khon Kaen University of the Academic Year 2021 today. I appreciate the honorary degree and prize awardees and all of the graduates whose success has brought pride to yourselves and your families. Your hard work has resulted in honors and success and is the primary guarantee that you have the knowledge and competency to build happiness and prosperity to yourselves in the future. However, true graduates must be the person who is keen to continuously acquire knowledge, regularly revise the existing knowledge and have interest to develop new academic and life knowledge. Education is the important factor behind self-development. Being a lifelong learner is the trait that all graduates should have. If graduates are determined to train and develop yourselves and try to solve problems and obstacles that happen, then you will be able to use the problems as the lesson that will lead you in creating greater success. Besides creating happiness and prosperity in your life and occupation, you will also create benefits, growth and security to the society and the nation. On behalf of His Majesty the King, I wish all graduates and everyone here happiness.”

พิธีพระราชทานปริญญาบัตร มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น 2565
