On January 26, 2023, at Kalapruek meeting room 7, 2nd floor, Sirikunakorn building, at 10.00 am. KKU administrators led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Choopong Thongkamsamut, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Assist. Prof. Mallika Srisutham, Assistant Dean for Special Affairs, Faculty of Agriculture, Asst. Prof. Wirat Wongpinunwatana, Vice Dean for Academic and International Affairs, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Mrs. Wilawan Ungsunantawiwat, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, joined a meeting to discuss with the delegation from the University of Fukui, Japan, led by Prof. Sue Shinichiro, Vice President, and Chief of Headquarters for Regional Revitalization. The objective of the meeting was to discuss cooperation in academic and research exchange and course exchange, specifically agricultural products, OTOP products, and Thai language courses for international students.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati revealed that Khon Kaen University is pleased to develop academic and research cooperation with the University of Fukui, Japan. Nowadays, KKU has signed the academic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japanese universities for 89 issues, especially in research, seminar, international academic conference, educational administration, etc.
Prof. Sue Shinichiro, Vice President and Chief of Headquarters for Regional Revitalization, said, "The representatives and I would like to express our gratitude for a warm welcome. The University of Fukui is located in the center of many areas of prosperity, provides many academic courses and programs, and has many international students. Today is a good opportunity for both institutions to discuss and continue other cooperation activities."
Furthermore, the representatives of the University of Fukui visited faculties in KKU for consultation with deans of faculties, including the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Technology, and the Faculty of Education.
