» The Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Thailand visits KKU (802 Views)

On January 27, 2023, at Reception Room, 6th floor, Sisrikunakorn Building, Khon Kaen University, H.E. Mr. Patrick Bournen, the Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Thailand, visited the administrators of Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, delivered a welcome speech, together with Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and Mrs. Wilawan Ungsunantawiwat, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, welcomed the Ambassador. During the visit, discussions were held on future cooperation in education and future collaborations. Furthermore, the Ambassador was honored to attend Khon Kaen International Marathon 2023 on January 28, 2023. 

In addition, the Ambassador delivered a lecture on “Ireland and Thailand International Relations: Past to Present” to students and teachers in international college and also visited the alumni who graduated from Irish academic institutions. In that case, Khon Kaen University has research and student exchange cooperation with Irish educational institutions such as Cork Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin.
