» Student Development and Alumni Relation Affairs cooperates with IAD KKU to organize the project "Global Perspective" to support students' global perspective competencies - prepare skills for the global labor market. (651 Views)

On February 17, 2023, at 13:30 hrs.,  the Student Development and Alumni Relation Affairs, in cooperation with the International Affairs Division, Khon Kaen University (IAD KKU), held a special activity "Global Perspective" to prepare students for entering the global labor market, under the topic Module 1: "Skills for graduates that grabbed HR recruitment in the digital era" via Zoom online. The objectives of the activities are to prepare students for global perspective competency by providing knowledge & advice and by sharing experiences from speakers of world-leading companies, as well as preparing students to become quality graduates to respond to the global labor market. This event was honored by Assoc. Prof. Piansak Pakdee, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relation who delivered an opening speech, and Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, along with Mrs. Jedsadaporn Sriradtanapraphan, Acting Director of the Division of Student Development and Alumni Relation and Mrs. Wilawan Ungsunantawiwat, Acting Director of International Affairs Division, who welcomed the participants. More than 70 students attended the event.

Assoc. Prof. Piansak Pakdee, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, said "Khon Kaen University is a core higher education institution that provides qualified graduates who are full of academic knowledge, virtue and importantly Multi-skills and capabilities in the age of Digital Society Competence. Thus, to meet the needs of the global workforce under an unstable economic situation, students need to gain skills and worldview to prepare themselves for the labor market in the 21st Century era."

On February 17, 2023, the first day of the project, the activity was honored by the guest speakers: 1.) Mr. Kris Kongthanadarakorn, Vice President Talent Attraction and Acquisition, Human Resource Department,Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF)- Thailand World Headquarter 2.) Mr. Suthep Sasung, Director of Human Resource for Sugarcane Manufacture and Factory, Mitr Phol Group, and 3.) Dr. Wilawan Kheawsomboon, Manager for Mitr Phol development institute, Human Resource Department, Mitr Phol Group. The guest speakers cooperatively shared knowledge, techniques, work experiences, and essential skills in the workplace, such as  Global working trends and workforce needs, Soft skills, hard skills, and future skills for 21st century, Global working trend and future workforce, Skills that grabbed HR attention and Cross-cultural understanding and international etiquette. Moreover, a panel discussion session was held to question and respond to the speakers openly.

Module 2: "Tips for successful interview for New Gen graduates" (February 27, 2023)
Module 3: Workshop on Professional Grooming for Interview (March 17, 2023)
Module 4: Leading Company Site Visit (The end of March)
