On March 2, 2023, at Khon Kaen Provincial Hall, Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and a representative of Khon Kaen University attended the meeting to create a neighboring relationship building and operational plan between Khon Kaen, Thailand, and Da Nang, the Republic of Vietnam. KKU took responsibility for cooperatively creating an educational project with Da Nang’s universities, such as University of Danang, Da Nang University of Medical Technology, Medicine, and Pharmacy, Da Nang University of Sport, the Dong A University, the Da Nang University of Architecture, and the American University of Vietnam. Preceding, KKU had had academic and research collaborations in various fields with University of Danang and Dong A University for a long time.
Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm also presented an operational plan to make this cooperation more concrete, such as Thai language teaching and Vietnamese language teaching, credits transfer between universities, student mobility, lecturer and researcher mobility, and officer mobility who support research cooperation in the areas of languages, economics, social and cultural diversity, and human resources collaborative development. These educational projects not only encourage the relationship between the two cities but also strengthen academic and research cooperation and build a regional cooperative network to raise the quality of education, research, and services at Khon Kaen University.
