» Khon Kaen University signs MOU to expand cooperation with MCUT Taiwan. (861 Views)

 

On March 21, 2023, at Sirikunakorn Meeting Room 5, 6th floor, Sirikunakorn Building, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul and Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pensri Charoenwanich, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Choopong Thongkamsamut, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chiranut Sa-ngiamsak from the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Pat Kotchapakdee from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Dr. Chuanchen Bi from the College of Graduate Study and Management, and Mrs. Wilawan Ungsunantawiwat, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, welcomed Dr. Thu-Hua Liu, the President and administrators from Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan on the occasion of the visit and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities.

The President of Khon Kaen University said that KKU personnel and students had the opportunity to participate in research and academic exchange programs with educational institutions in Taiwan over the years. Today, we are delighted to formally initiate a partnership with MCUT, one of Taiwan's top universities. Famous for Engineering Resources and Environment Management and Design, Both universities have similarities in terms of the said curriculum.

After the signing ceremony, Administrators from both universities discussed ways to develop cooperation, such as establishing dual or double degrees in engineering—exchange of professors and students in related fields, with both parties discussing in more detail.

Founded in 1963, MCUT is a highly regarded university of Taiwan's leading technology universities. Especially in engineering Resources and Environment Management and Design, MCUT is also one of Taiwan's top technical universities and vocational education, also known for organizing human resource development training courses.
