» KKU welcomes all lecturers to a discussion forum on (KKUiLT) project under the title "English Medium Instruction: What, Why, and How?" (250 Views)

On May 12, 2023, during 2:30 - 4:00 PM, Khon Kaen University (KKU) organized an online discussion forum based on KKUiLT project under the title "English Medium Instruction: What, Why and How?." The event was honored by Mr. Banchakarn Sameephet, Ph.D. and Mr. Bhirawit Satthamnuwong, M.A., lecturers from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, together with Ms. Wanwisa Wannapipat, Ph.D., a lecturer from International College, as the speakers.

At the beginning of the event, a presentation was given by Mr. Banchakarn Sameephet, Ph.D., and Mr. Bhirawit Satthamnuwong, M.A. The presentation emphasized the background and meaning of EMI, the academic application of EMI in many countries, the expected benefit of applying EMI and using EMI in Thailand. Moreover, Ms. Wanwisa Wannapipat, Ph.D., gave a presentation on teaching and learning models for International College students. There were over 100 participants joined the activity.

Last but not least, the event also allowed the lecturers from other faculties to discuss the problem of students' learning availability, lecturers' competence in using EMI, and case study with all the speakers.
