International Affairs Division, Khon Kaen University (IAD, KKU) organized "English Camp for KKU Supporting Staff 2023," an activity arranged for KKU's staff from all divisions under the Office of the President, during May 18-19, 2023, at Phu Pha Man subdistrict, Khon Kaen province. The objectives were to encourage the staff to get used to English communication and to experience different international cultures through participating in activities with international students from many countries: Nigeria, Nepal, Indonesia, Myanmar, China, Vietnam, and the USA.

On May 18, 2023, there were a lot of interesting activities designed to increase competence in searching for information, making English conversations, and discussing in English. The activities were divided into five learning stations and many small activities for learning and entertainment.

The first learning station was "Who is My Buddy;" 2-3 staff would randomly group with a foreign student as their buddy. The second one was "Sightseeing with My Buddy;" The staff had to search for "Blue Lagoon" information and then explain it to their buddy in English. The third one was "My Experience and Impression;" each group got random words to make sentences expressing their experience and impression after visiting Phu Ta Lor cave, a cave with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites.

The fourth was "Group Discussion," which allowed the participants to exchange their opinions, experiences, ideas, perspectives, etc., by discussing assigned topics. Lastly, we had a small "Cultural Night" activity, which allowed the participants to learn and exchange their cultures through unique music and performance.

On May 19, 2023, the schedule began with the fifth learning station with the activity focusing on increasing presentation and public speaking skills; each group sent their representatives to present the outcomes received from the Group Discussion activity. Finally, we ended the camp with enjoyable games: reverse charades and vocabulary guessing.

To sum up, all participants were pleased to be part of the camp. They also jointly created the English Camp 2023 network to keep practicing and enhancing their English skills.
