» Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University together with SWJTU, Chengdu drive to produce graduates of the High-Speed Train Program. (814 Views)

On June 2, 2023, the delegation from Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchaphon Suntivarakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with the Faculty of Engineering administrators: Asst.Prof. Dr. Komkrit Pitiruek, Associate Dean for Strategic and Development Planning, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanawath Niyamosoth, Dr. Watis Leelapatra, and Asst Prof. Dr. Warayut Kampeerawat visited Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, People’s Republic of China.
The administration team was warmly welcomed by Professor YAO Faming, Vice President of SWJTU, Prof. MA Lei, Director of International Cooperations and Exchanges, and Ms.XIN Ling, Director of General Office, Tianyou Railway Institute SWJTU, and then discussed together High-Speed Train Program and the establishment of a joint institute which is KKU-SWJTU Tianyou Railway Institute at the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University. Also, the administration team experienced the potential of the State Key Laboratory of Rail Transit Vehicle System (Jiuli campus) and visited the smart classroom, library, cafeteria, stadium, and international student dormitory (Xipu campus) to assemble the information before sending the 3rd year engineering students to study and participate the practical training (internship) for a year. Students who accomplish the program will obtain a certificate from SWJTU and a 2nd degree in High-Speed Train Program from Khon Kaen University.
