On 20 June 2023 at Kalapapruek meeting room 4, 2nd floor, Sirikunakorn building. Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kiatichai Faksri , Dean of Graduate School, and the faculty administrators from the Faculty of Humanities and social sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University International College, and the Director of International Affairs Division welcomed Ms. Ritite Tekiu, Secretary of Public Service Office (PSO) and Ms. Riiti Uriam Director of the Human Resource Management Centre, PSO from the Republic of Kiribati, on the occasion of paying a courtesy call on the administrators of Khon Kaen University and to discuss on academic collaborations, including supporting of staff in the country to have the opportunity to study at the higher education and graduate levels, human resource development in training courses and skill development in various fields such as Nursing, Engineering, Agriculture, etc. This was the first visit of the Public Office-Kiribari Government delegation.
Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, said , “Khon Kaen University is pleased to develop academic collaborations, Human Resource Development with Public Office-Kiribari Government, Kiribati. In addition, Khon Kaen University is a leading world-class university that provides various courses, including international programs that can be served to international students. Moreover, KKU is surrounded by a pleasant atmosphere (Green Campus) and convenient living facilities. Therefore, Khon Kaen University is ready to accept students. And staff from foreign countries for study, research, and training courses, etc.
Ms. Ritite Tekiu, Secretary of PSO, said, “ On behalf of Public Office - Kiribati Government, we would like to thank the KKU administrators for a warm welcome. This was our first visit, and we were impressed with the KKU atmosphere, which has a pleasant and green environment and a peaceful lifestyle similar to Kiribati. At this meeting, we hope that our collaboration will strengthen education and relationship.
After that, the delegations from The Public Service Office had an opportunity to visit the administrators from the Faculty of Agriculture on a training course for foreigners, especially in Food security, climate change, etc. Later, the delegation
