» KKU collaborates with FPT University to drive international collaboration (368 Views)

On July 10, 2023. Mr. Surapon Petch-vra, Vice Chairman of the University Council, Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, led Khon Kaen University's administrators, including Asst. Prof. Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh, Dean of Khon Kaen International College, and the lectures from College of Computing and Khon Kaen International College visited FTP University, Da Nang, Vietnam, to discuss collaborations and drive student and staff exchange activities between two institutes which leads to the concrete result, regarding the KKU policy on "Internationalization." 


Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, said, "Khon Kaen University has strengthened collaboration with various Vietnamese educational institutes, especially FTP University, which has signed a memorandum to the MoU since 2013. Therefore, building alliances and enhancing academic cooperation and various exchanges with FPT University is an important tool for enhancing the ability to develop students' international competency that responds to the global labor market. In addition, FPT University is a leading private university in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, specializing in Technology and Design, Business Administration, and Hospitality, including tourism by emphasizing learning and a sustainable environment".  

The collaboration between Khon Kaen University and FTP project, planning to launch soon, is a long-term student exchange (1 semester) to support the Thai and Vietnamese who study on the 3rd and 4th year students to learn about the society, language, and cultures of 2 counties. Also, to build a good attitude to each other. This project is supported by the Royal Thai embassy Hanoi, Vietnam, the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association, and the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association, which will support some of the expenses for students participating in the project. In 2023, at least 3 students from each institution are initially scheduled to participate in the project, which will expand the number of students the following year. On this occasion, they also discussed the exchange of professors to develop potential Teaching and learning management and cooperative education practice and build a network of academic cooperation in various fields.
