Warm welcoming event for international students to their new house

July 14, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. – Khon Kaen University by International Affairs Division and International student association held the International Student Day 2023 under the theme "Masquerade Party" at the Foundation Skill Development and Lecture Building. Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs welcomed new students and freshers from overseas to let them build a network of international students in KKU. Over 180 students joined.  

          

    Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, said, "Welcome all International students to Khon Kaen University and the International Student Day 2023 "Masquerade Party". I'm happy that you have chosen to travel a long way to study at Khon Kaen University. Our university is well prepared to care for international students, which is very important. We are famous as an institution with a good environment. We also aim to build a safe and loving place for all, just like you are a family member, because we want you to be impressed with KKU.   

"This special event is organized to promote closer relationships among the new and current international students, lecturers, and staff so that we can help each other and make your stay at KKU memorable."  

  The activities in the international student day 2023 "Masquerade Party" included games and performances of 2 groups and six international students' nationalities, such as "Harmony of the Countryside" by students from Myanmar, Guzheng solo "Butterfly Lovers" by Chinese students, "Ram Jok Kampus" by Cambodia students, and Dance Workout by USA student, Chinese, Indonesian, and Indian students. Participants then had a cocktail dinner together.  

  200 international students are enrolling at Khon Kaen University this year. At present, there are altogether 800 full-time students and 330 non-degree from overseas.
