Khon Kaen University (KKU) is proud to be actively participating in the 18th GMSARN International Conference 2023 (GMSARN 2023), scheduled for November 16-17, 2023. This esteemed conference is organized and technically supported by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Pathumthani, Thailand. GMSARN 2023 aims to address crucial topics related to energy, environment, and sustainable development within the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), charting a course for its future.

The GMSARN 2023 conference is a two-day platform dedicated to the dissemination of knowledge, bringing together a diverse group of researchers and participants. It is centered around the theme of "Smart Energy, Environment, and Sustainable Development in GMS," reflecting the pressing need to address these critical issues in the region.

KKU's distinguished participants from the Faculty of Engineering include:

Assoc. Prof. Pairaya Choeisai.
Assoc. Prof. Rongrit Chatthaworn.

Keynote Speaker 1, Dr. Nguyen Duc Tuyen, Director of the Power System and Renewable Energy Program at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, will deliver an insightful talk titled "Smart Grid Development in Vietnam and Research Trend." Dr. Tuyen's presentation will cover ten key technology trends, including HVDC, DLR, Grid Operations Management, EV & Grid Connected EV, Grid-forming Inverter, Energy Storage System (ESS), Hydrogen Technology, and the Application of AI.

KKU's participation in GMSARN 2023 underscores its commitment to advancing research and knowledge in the fields of energy, environment, and sustainable development, contributing to the overall progress and prosperity of the Greater Mekong Subregion.
