» KKU joins the cooperated meeting with K-MEDI Hub- to advance a medical innovation (282 Views)

On Friday, November 17, 2023 at Sirikunakorn Room 5, 6th Floor, Sirikunakorn Building. Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of the University, Prof. Thidarut Boonmars, Vice President for Innovation and Enterprise, together with administrators from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Nursing, and Academic Clinical Research Office (ACRO), warmly welcomed Dr.Chung Myung Hoon, Vice-Chairman, Strategy & Planning Bureau, and representatives from K-MEDI Hub, South Korea. The visit aimed to discuss collaboration on research, medical innovation, and other health science-related activities. 

Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of the University, stated, "Since Khon Kaen University is a medical hub with numerous excellent medical innovations, KKU is delighted to collaborate on developing medical innovation with K-MEDI Hub, South Korea. KKU has signed the academic memorandum of understanding (MoU) from June 30 to August 2, 2023, with K-MEDI Hub in Daegu, South Korea, with the primary objectives of supporting the exchange of medical innovations and research and creating an exchange program for students, teachers, and researchers from KKU and K-MEDI Hub. Therefore, this discussion will contribute to successfully developing these objectives."

Dr. Chung Myung Hoon, Vice-Chairman of the Strategy & Planning Bureau, said, "I am very pleased to have the opportunity to visit the administrators of Khon Kaen University. Today's discussion is beneficial for continuing our cooperation in medical innovation. Khon Kaen University and K-MEDI Hub have similar medical policies that focus on research development to meet global healthcare needs. On behalf of K-MEDI Hub, I would like to thank the administrators of Khon Kaen University and those involved, who gave a warm welcome today."
Furthermore, representatives from K-MEDI Hub visited several medical and health faculties at KKU. The discussions focused on implementing medical innovations within the community. Participants included administrators from the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Academic Clinical Research Office (ACRO).

During the meeting, Khon Kaen University and K-MEDI Hub administrators discussed key medical topics, exchanged opinions, and presented projects that will be instrumental in advancing medical innovation. Both Khon Kaen University and K-MEDI Hub are committed to enhancing research quality, fostering innovation, and transforming outcomes into products soon.
