Wednesday, December 14, 2023, at the Sirikunakorn Meeting Room 5, 6th Floor, Sirikunakorn Building – Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University; Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for the International Affairs Division; Asst. Prof. Dr. Acharawan Topark-ngarm Assistants to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ajiravudh Subarnbhesaj, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; Along with administrators and lecturers from the Faculty of Dentistry and Acting Director of International Affairs Division, attended the discussion on academic collaboration with Professor Robert ED Spears, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and delegates from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), United States.

Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, welcomed the administrators and delegates from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, United States. He revealed that Khon Kaen University is delighted to continue developing collaboration in academic research and medical innovation with UTHealth, especially in AI for healthcare, student and lecturer exchange, and international conference meetings. Thus, the Faculty of Dentistry at Khon Kaen University will serve as the connector in this collaboration.

Professor Robert ED Spears, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, stated, "Thank you to the president and administrators of Khon Kaen University for this warm welcome. On behalf of UTHealth, we are very pleased to continue developing this collaboration with KKU, especially in the academic program and research exchange."

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston is a leading university in the United States, offering a variety of expertise and courses such as medical science, technology science, and innovation. UTHealth is also a leading medical hub in the USA. Thus, UTHealth is happy to exchange knowledge with Khon Kaen University, which is outstanding in the medical field.
In this regard, Khon Kaen University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston have signed an academic memorandum of understanding since 2018. Therefore, today's discussion would strengthen the academic collaboration between KKU and UTHealth.
