Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Sirikunakorn Meeting Room 5, 6th Floor, Sirikunakorn Building – Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University; Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for the International Affairs Division; Assistant Professor Dr. Acharawan Topark-ngarm Assistants to the President for International Affairs together with Asst. Prof. Kwankate Kanistanon, Ph.D. , Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, welcomed Professor Wu Jianping, President and delegates of Huaqiao University, China, on the occasion of their first visit to Khon Kaen University to discuss collaboration in academics and programs along with the exchange of students, lecturers, and researchers.
Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University, said, “Khon Kaen University has had a strong relationship with educational institutions in China for over 60 years, with many joint activities and continuous development, and still expanding the collaboration with institutions in China. Therefore, Khon Kaen University is very pleased to have this discussion with Huaqiao University. We hope the discussion on this occasion will lead to strong future collaboration.”
Professor Wu Jianping, President of Huaqiao University, stated that HQU is happy to visit Thailand and Khon Kaen University. This would be a great occasion to discuss the collaboration between the two universities so that HQU and KKU will be able to exchange academics and programs, exchange students, lecturers, and researchers, along with other collaborative activities under the MOU.
HQU was established in 1960. With over 30,000 students, including over 8,000 international students, HQU is a university specializing in engineering. Moreover, HQU also features a leading language institute with an intensive and high-quality Chinese training program.
