» Ambassadors from national countries impressively participate in the Khon Kaen International Marathon 2024- to strengthen international relations. (604 Views)

On January 13, 2024 – Khon Kaen University held the 19th Khon Kaen International Marathon 2024. This event was honored by several ambassadors, including H.E. Mr. Jonathan Kings, the ambassador of New Zealand, Bangkok, Thailand, accompanied by Ms. Amanda Mcdonald, the Spouse of the Ambassador, along with Mr. Md. Masumur Rahaman, Counsellor and Head of Chancery, the ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Bangkok, Thailand. The ambassadors and visitors joyfully participated in the 5.4 kilometers 'Fun Run' marathon program.
 
On January 14, 2024 – The second day of the event was honored by H.E. Mr. Jyri Järviaho, the ambassador of Finland, Bangkok, Thailand, along with the representatives of The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bangkok, Thailand, led by Mr. Phillip Doet, Defense Attaché. They participated in 11.55 kilometers' Mini Marathon' program and 21.10 kilometers 'Half Marathon' program. 

H.E. Mr. Jonathan Kings, the ambassador of New Zealand in Bangkok, Thailand, said, "This is my first time participating in the 5.4 kilometers 'Fun Run' marathon program. I am very excited and have prepared to run until the event day. This event was truly impressive, and I extend my gratitude to Khon Kaen Province, Khon Kaen University, the staff, and every organizer who warmly welcomed me. Additionally, I am grateful for the friendliness and lovely smiles of the people of Khon Kaen and the green environment at Khon Kaen University. I look forward to visiting here again in Khon Kaen."

H.E. Jyri Järviaho, the ambassador of Finland in Bangkok, Thailand, said, "I am very excited and impressed to see this massive amount of people participating in the marathon event because it shows that Khon Kaen people are healthy. I am also impressed with how livable Khon Kaen province is, and the people here are so friendly. I want to participate in the next marathon for sure."
 
On behalf of KKU International Division Affairs, it is such an honor to be a part of strengthening international relations. This event was graced by ambassadors from several countries, who contributed to promoting KKU's global vision, creating opportunities to strengthen ties in foreign affairs, and elevating the Khon Kaen International Marathon event internationally.
