Friday, January 26, 2024 - at the Kalapapruek Meeting Room 6, 2nd Floor, Sirikunakorn Building – Khon Kaen University administrators led by Prof. Pewpan Maleewong, M.D. Assistant to the President for Research and Graduate Studies, together with administrators from the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, and the International College, discussed collaboration with the delegation from the University of York, United Kingdom, led by Professor Matthias Ruth, Vice President for Research. The discussion focused on academics, research, and innovation, especially food, health, and Green Technology under the British Council ECR Scheme fund.

 

Professor Matthias Ruth visited two Khon Kaen University assistant administrators in the afternoon. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of the University, and Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs, to discuss the research projects that the University of York would like to collaborate with Khon Kaen University, together with the staff and student exchange program between two institutions.
Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of the University, mentioned the other collaborations between Khon Kaen University and the University of York, such as the Medicine Health Science and Technology, and also discussed the research and academic services on Aging Society and Aging Wellness.
Furthermore, the KKU president admired the University of York for having strong connections and collaborations with local private sectors. This suggests that the University of York excels in producing high-quality students for the international job market and innovative research that aims to enhance people's well-being. Khon Kaen University intends to bring the University of York's successful model into future initiatives.
