» KKU joins Thailand Education & Job Fair 2024 in Cambodia for more international students (511 Views)

February 15-17, 2024 – the International Affairs Division, International College and College of Computing, Khon Kaen University, joined the Thailand Education & Job Fair 2024 at the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre, Royal University of Phnom Penh, which was organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh; and then joined the Go Study Thailand, arranging booths to publicize Khon Kaen University, international programs and application for the programs, to students in Cambodia. Asst. Prof. Achrawan To-pharkngam, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Khwanket Kanitthanon, Ph.D., Acting Director of the International Affairs Division represented Khon Kaen University at the Fair. On February 15-16, 2024, the team from KKU had a chance to visit and public relate Khon Kaen University at the CIA First International School, World International School Cambodia, and the American Intercon School. February 17, 2024 was the opening day of Thailand Education & Job Fair 2024. Khon Kaen University received a lot of interest from school and university students of Cambodia, who asked for more information about both undergraduate and graduate programs, about the instruction, study period, short-term programs, scholarships and other details about traveling to and living in Thailand, and visa application.

On February 16, 2024 – The Royal Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh hosted the meeting of representative from The Cambodian Higher Education Association (CHEA), the association in which over 40 institutions join to promote education in Cambodia. Representatives from Thailand that join the Thailand Education & Job Fair 2024 made a courtesy call to the Thai Embassy to discuss collaboration in education, building of networks and the means to collaborate to promote activities that benefit Cambodian school and university students. Asst. Prof. Achrawan To-pharkngam, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs represented Khon Kaen University in this regard.

On this occasion, Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakorn, the Ambassador of Thailand to Phnom Penh said that he had confidence in Thailand potentiality in administrating efficient education. The Royal Thai Embassy accented the readiness to support and assist Cambodian students and Thailand academic Institutions. The Ambassador went on to say that the Embassy is pleased to support the collaboration between Thailand and Cambodia, including academic, cultural, and language exchanges, which would benefit students of both countries. The Embassy is also pleased to collaborate in different related activities such as training, exchanges of personnel, or study visits.
Finally, the Embassy gave information related to traveling to Thailand and asked CHEA to disseminate the information to interested Thai students and other foreign students.
