Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of the University, said I am pleased to have the opportunity to welcome the TVFA on the occasion of visiting Khon Kaen University for the first time. Khon Kaen Province is located in a geopolitical area, and it is the center of the Spring Board that connects to countries in the Mekong River Basi, especially in education, transportation, business, tourism, and creative economy. Because of these factors, Khon Kaen University has the opportunity to raise the level of university development in the region. Therefore, this discussion meeting is an excellent opportunity to move forward with the Thailand-Vietnam Exchange Student Program.

Mr. Surapon Petch-vra, Vice Chairman of the University Council and the committee of the Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association, revealed that the purpose of the establishment of TVFA is to coordinate cooperation and strengthen relations between neighboring countries as well as promote business, economics, society, culture, and education between the public and private sectors. As the word "Seed of relations" means planting seeds of cooperation and relationships in various fields, particularly today, the faculty intends to support education and provide opportunities for the business sector and leading companies to provide opportunities to students to develop potential knowledge and prepare for work experience in the international labor market as well as publicize and activate the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, said Khon Kaen University has a collaboration with leading Vietnamese institutes. Khon Kaen University has the KKU Scholarship for ASEAN & GMS Countries Personnel project to support the graduated students in the Great Mekong Sub-region and ASEAN. Currently, there are 92 applicants and 10 Vietnamese applicants. In addition, there are academic cooperation activities, such as signing a cooperation agreement between Khon Kaen University and FPT to continue academic cooperation activities. And drive student exchange activities (Student Exchange Program) between the two institutions in August last year.

The faculty administrators also presented issues and activities of cooperation with educational institutions and agencies in Vietnam. The summary includes 1.) There are teaching courses in the Vietnamese language and activities related to Vietnamese culture. 2.) An internship program sends undergraduate and graduate students to train and study, such as the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City and Thien Phuoc Manufacturing & Trading Company Limited, Vietnam. 3.) There are exchange students from leading universities in Vietnam, such as Eastern International University (EIU) and University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), and 4.) There are plans to organize student exchange and joint workshop activities between the institutions.

At the meeting, representatives of the association' presented and exchanged on cooperation issues such as Mr. Phan Chi Thanh (H.E. Mr. Phan Chi Thanh), Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Thailand, had the idea to organize the First Education Road Show shortly in Vietnam by inviting higher education institutions in Thailand and leading companies to participate in organizing exhibitions and presenting proactive courses to promote the curriculum to Vietnamese students which leads to the exchange of teaching and learning of students between the two countries as well as educational and research activities in the future and private companies themselves. There is also a need to hire graduates from Vietnam and Thailand to join the workforce because working in a leading company abroad not only applies good work skills, attitude, and foreign language skills, but an understanding of cultural differences is also essential, so student exchange activities between them can create skills and opportunities to produce graduates who are ready for the international labor market. In addition, the company is pleased to accept student interns from the cooperative education and study tour programs to develop working skills and learn about management perspectives, Management and marketing strategies, etc.

In addition, a representative of the association's committee revealed that Khon Kaen Province is the center of prosperity in the northeastern region, and many Thai-Vietnamese people live there. So, as an entrepreneur, it is essential to create opportunities and build good relations with Vietnam to further develop society, economy, culture, and education.
