» KKU administrator attends the 19th ASEA-UNINET Plenary Meeting at Penang, Malaysia (149 Views)

Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs: A representative of Khon Kaen University attended the 19th ASEA-UNINET Plenary Meeting under the ASEAN-European Academic University Partnership Network (ASEA-UNINET: https://asea-uninet.org/) from 26 February to 2 March 2024 at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia, to strengthen the collaborative network between Khon Kaen University and the partnership. 

Khon Kaen University has joined ASEA-UNINET since 1994, the same year as its founding. There were 25 institutes joined in the first period, and now it has expanded to over 16 countries and 90 institutes.  

The ASEA-UNINET network has carried out activities among network members in various forms, such as scholarships to study at the doctoral level, postdoctoral research scholarships, short-term exchange capital Training/research grants, and faculty exchange scholarships. Plans are underway to expand the cooperation framework to cover even more dimensions in the future.

Attending the ASEA-UNINET network meeting at this time will not only be a discussion/exchange of academic cooperation between network members, but it is also considered to promote the strength of academics and research and create concrete cooperation, including creating a network of regional cooperation to raise the level of education, research, and academic services of the university.
