Tuesday, March 26, 2024 – Khon Kaen University administrators, led by Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, Chairman of the University Council, Khon Kaen University; Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University; Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, welcomed Prof. Randy W. Schekman, Nobel Laureate for Medicine, University of California, Berkeley, who received Nobel Prize in Medicine, to give a special lecture on The Thai-Japan-ASEAN 'Bridges' Series at Peerasit Khamnuansilpa Room, College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University.

Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, said that today's event was a collaboration between Khon Kaen University and the International Peace Foundation on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Khon Kaen University and was held to share knowledge on "The Role of Public Universities as an Engine for Social Change,"

 

Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, Chairman of the University Council at Khon Kaen University, said that the Nobel Prize Dialogue event was a symbol of bridges to connect knowledge and collaboration between Thailand, Japan, ASEAN, and others. As an institute of higher education, we have missions to invent, teach, and drive for social change, which we are delighted and determined to be responsible for.

Schekman มีการทำงานที่ล้ำเลิศและมีการอุทิศตนในการพัฒนาเกี่ยวกับชีววิทยาศาสตร์  ซึ่งเป็นตัวอย่างของการพัฒนาความเป็นเลิศทางวิชาการ ฉะนั้นการที่นักการศึกษา นักวิชาการ นักวิจัย และ ผู้กำหนดนโยบาย ได้ฟังข้อมูลเชิงลึกจากท่านในวันนี้จะเป็นประโยชน์อย่างยิ่ง ที่จะทำให้เราตระหนักถึงความรับผิดชอบ และ โอกาสของเราที่จะสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่มีประโยชน์ต่อสังคม หวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้จะมีส่วนช่วยยกระดับ และช่วยเหลือการพัฒนาระดับโลกต่อไป”
