On April 22-23 2024, The administrators of the Eastern International University (EIU) from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, led by Dr. Nguyen Tan Loi, Chairman, and Dr. Ngo Minh Duc, President, along with the faculty members, visited to discuss collaboration in developing education and research with the faculties of KKU, including the College of Local Administration, the College of Graduate Studies in Management, the College of Computing, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Engineering. Additionally, EIU aims to support tangible activities between both universities by exchanging instructors, staff, and students.
After the collaboration discussion in education and research, EIU requested to pursue various activities, including student exchanges with the College of Local Administration and the Faculty of Engineering, as well as further studies for EIU staff members at the College of Local Administration, the Faculty of Engineering, and the College of Computing. Furthermore, opportunities were proposed for College of Local Administration students to observe tours at EIU, including developing a medical production course at the bachelor's degree level at EIU and training in medical specialties with accommodation provided by the Faculty of Medicine.
Since signing MOUs on behalf of the university on November 1, 2023, KKU has been actively engaged in various activities. Currently, two students from the College of Local Administration, three from the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, and an additional two from the Faculty of Nursing are interning at EIU. Furthermore, two instructors from EIU also proceeded to further study for a doctorate at the College of Local Administration; one is pursuing a master's degree, and another is for a doctorate at the Faculty of Nursing. These proactive activities and strategies represent a strong collaboration between both institutions, causing development in education and research for both universities.
