» Ambassador of Canada to Thailand Visits Khon Kaen University (288 Views)

On July 12, 2024, at the Special Reception Room on the 6th floor of the Sirikunakorn Building, H.E. Ms. Ping Kitnikone, Ambassador of Canada to Thailand, and her delegation visited Khon Kaen University. They were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati Charoen, Vice President for International Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs. The purpose of the visit was to discuss opportunities for academic, research, and scholarship collaborations. 

Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati Charoen expressed, on behalf of Khon Kaen University, It was an honor to welcome the Ambassador and her delegation. She highlighted the university's strong relationship with Canadian institutions, noting that many alumni have graduated from prestigious Canadian universities. She emphasized that Khon Kaen University is pleased to cooperate in academic endeavors and future collaborations. 

H.E. Ms. Ping Kitnikone, Ambassador of Canada to Thailand, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome, noting that this was her first visit to the university. She mentioned that Canada is home to many leading academic institutions and attracts numerous international students. She highlighted the "Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) Program," which provides funding for ASEAN students to study in Canada. She emphasized that this presents an excellent opportunity for Thai students interested in studying abroad. Additionally, she mentioned plans to establish a student exchange program and expressed hope for future cooperation with Khon Kaen University.
