In celebration of the 57th anniversary of ASEAN, the ASEAN Studies Center at Khon Kaen University, the Mekong Institute (MI), and Center for Research on Plurality in the Mekong Region (CERP) of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, along with ASEAN and Mekong Sub-region network partners, hosted a variety of cultural activities and an academic seminar on ASEAN Studies (ASEAN Day 2024).
On August 6, 2024, at 08:30 AM, Khon Kaen University, through its ASEAN Studies Center, in collaboration with the Mekong Institute and Center for Research on Plurality in the Mekong Region (CERP), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organized ASEAN Day 2024 at Conference Room HS03, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University. The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phanthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atcharawan Topakngam, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, in attendance.
The event aimed to promote knowledge development in ASEAN Studies and disseminate academic and research insights to lecturers, staff, students of Khon Kaen University, and the general public. Additionally, it sought to foster collaborative networks with universities, faculties, organizations, and international partners, ensuring continuous knowledge exchange related to the Mekong Sub-region. The event attracted around 250 participants.
