On September 25, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., in Room 3218 of the HUSO Learning Center, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, the French Embassy in Thailand, in partnership with KKU's International Affairs Division and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, hosted a special lecture on "Studies in France and Scholarships & Fellowship and Mobility Programs" as part of the Campus France Tour 2024. The session was honored by Mr. Dr. Ludovic ANDRES, Attaché for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, alongside representatives from Campus France Thailand: Ms. Roxane POITOHI, Head of Campus France Thailand; Ms. Sujira PANYAWATTANA, Student Advisor; and Mr. Johan BROC, Cooperation Officer for Science Higher Education. The event aimed to guide study opportunities in France, various scholarship options, the French education system, course selection, application processes, research grants, and cultural exchange in France. Over 60 attendees participated, including faculty members, students, staff, and interested individuals.

Associate Professor Dr. Orathai Pia-Yura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, honored the event with a welcome speech, noting that Campus France Tour 2024 represents an ongoing educational collaboration between universities in Thailand and France. Khon Kaen University has a longstanding and strong partnership with the French Embassy in Thailand. In April, KKU welcomed H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude POIMBOEUF, the French Ambassador to Thailand, furthering collaborations such as graduate scholarships under the Franco-Thai Scholarship Program and research scholarships through the Franco-Thai Mobility Program (PHC SIAM).

Mr. Dr. Ludovic ANDRES, Attaché for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the French Embassy for KKU's warm welcome on his first visit to the university. He noted that the event highlighted Thailand and France's vital educational and research collaboration. Following the lecture, embassy representatives held discussions with KKU administrators, faculty, and researchers on joint research projects, scholarship applications, and future educational exchange programs.
This event showcased the academic cooperation between Thailand and France, providing Thai students and researchers insight into educational and research opportunities in France.
