On October 8, 2024, at the Sirikunakorn Hall 5, 6th Floor, Sirikunakorn Building, H.E. Mrs. Anna Hammargren, the Swedish Ambassador to Thailand, along with representatives from the Swedish Embassy, visited Khon Kaen University (KKU) to meet with the university's executives. Assoc led the meeting. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of KKU, and crucial KKU representatives, including Assoc. Prof. Navarat Wara-aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs; Prof. Dr. Piwpun Maleewong, Vice President for Research; Prof. Dr. Thidarat Boonmars, Vice President for Enterprise and Sustainable Society, Asst. Prof. Dr. Atchara Wannataopakun, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchapol Santiworakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Khwankhet Kanittanan, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, and faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering.
During the visit, discussions focused on strengthening educational, research, and innovation collaborations and explored the establishment of a "Swedish Innovation Center" and potential future partnerships.
