On October 25, 2024, at Sirikunakorn 5 Conference Room on the 6th floor of Khon Kaen University, Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-Aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, welcomed delegates and students from the College of Urban and Public Administration (EMPA) at Portland State University, USA. The delegation was led by Professor Margaret Eileen Banyan, Professor and Program Coordinator. Asst coordinated the two institutions' collaboration. Prof. Dr. Kritchawat Lohwatcharin, Associate Dean for Administration and Networking, College of Local Administration at Khon Kaen University.
Both universities discussed collaborative projects, education, research, academic systems, and notable research topics during the meeting. The collaborative project aims to enhance bachelor's degree students' educational and research experiences.
In addition, the meeting was attended by over 10 students from Portland State University; the majority of the group showed their admiration for the exchange experience, including Thailand's friendliness, food, and opportunities to learn from various resources in specialized fields such as education, engineering, and agriculture.
