» KKU Welcomes Delegation from Royal Scholarship Project Visiting Cambodian Students (650 Views)

On Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., at the International Affairs Division meeting room, 4th Floor, Bimala KalakichaBuilding, executives of Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs, along with other administrators and faculty members, extended a warm welcome to a delegation from the Royal Scholarship under Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Education Project to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chayaphim Usaho, Vice-Chairperson of the Education Working Group; Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangkamol Bangchuad, Secretary of the Scholarship Management Working Group; Asst. Prof. Dr. Jarintorn Vintachai, a member of the Scholarship Management Working Group; and Master Sergeant First Class Nopphong Yuphan, a member of the Coordination Working Group. The purpose of their visit was to meet with the scholarship recipients and to discuss and receive feedback from both students and their supervisors. 

Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm stated, "Today's visit from the working group is an excellent opportunity to meet with both the students and their supervisors to learn about their living conditions and academic life on campus. Khon Kaen University places great importance on enhancing the quality of education and the well-being of all students. We look forward to welcoming the working group again in the future."

Khon Kaen University has been a proud participant in this project since 2012, a commitment spanning 13 years. The university has presented scholarships to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for her bestowal upon Cambodian students, providing them with the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies. Throughout the project's duration, a total of 123 students have received this Royal Scholarship. Of these, 114 have successfully graduated, while 4 students are currently enrolled in their programs: 3 in master's degrees and 1 in a doctoral degree.
