» Khon Kaen University and the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Khon Kaen Organize "Chinese Consular Visit to Campus" to Promote Safe and Informed Living in Thailand (126 Views)

On December 4, 2025, from 14:30 to 16:30, at Meeting Room 2, Building HS05, Khon Kaen University, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the International Affairs Division and the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Khon Kaen, organized the annual event "Chinese Consular Visit to Campus". The event aimed to enhance Chinese students' understanding of Thai laws, safety, and lifestyle practices, as well as to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange between Thai and Chinese agencies.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Zhou Guangxu, Consul of the People's Republic of China in Khon Kaen, and Asst. Prof. Dararat Khampusaen, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, delivered a welcome speech.
Key sessions during the event included informative talks relevant to international students, the topics are as follows:
• "Precautions for Chinese Students Studying in Thailand" by Mrs. Zhang Changhui from the Chinese Consulate-General
• "Living Safely in the Northeastern Region of Thailand" by officers from the Tourism Police Bureau
• "Immigration Policies and Visa Application Procedures" by officers from the Khon Kaen Immigration Bureau
• "Life Experiences in Khon Kaen" by Mr. Ouyang Youming, Director of Khon Kaen Language School
The event concluded with an open Q&A and exchange of ideas, as well as the distribution of informational materials on consular protection, providing attendees with valuable resources.
This event reflects the strong cooperation between Khon Kaen University, the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China, and local security and educational agencies. It supports the safe, lawful, and meaningful experiences of international students living in Thailand.
