» Khon Kaen University Welcomes Experts from Harvard Medical School to Strengthen Academic Collaboration in Medical AI and Multidisciplinary Research (97 Views)

On December 9, 2025, Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phanthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nawarat Wara-assawapati, Vice President for International Affairs, warmly welcomed Prof. Katharine Morley and Prof. Michael Morley, distinguished faculty members and experts in medicine, organizational policy, and research project management from Harvard Medical School, USA.

 

The visit aimed to foster academic exchange and discuss the development of artificial intelligence (AI) research in healthcare systems, as well as to promote multidisciplinary collaboration among medicine, nursing, engineering, data science, and related fields.
During the visit, the Harvard experts met with university administrators and visited key departments within the Faculty of Medicine, including Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Ophthalmology. In addition, an AI and Grant Writing Workshop was conducted to support faculty members and researchers in developing research ideas into competitive grant proposals and academic publications.
Furthermore, the experts delivered special lectures and training sessions on research methodologies, academic data sourcing, strategies for applying AI in research, multidisciplinary collaboration, and effective grant proposal writing. This initiative represents a significant step in enhancing Khon Kaen University’s research capacity and advancing international academic collaboration.
