» Khon Kaen University Welcomes Delegation from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, to Promote Global Citizenship through the CAMPUS-Asia 6 Program (26 Views)

On December 11, 2025, Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, together with Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, along with executives from the Faculty of Education led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Issara Kanjug, Dean of the Faculty of Education, warmly welcomed a delegation of administrators, faculty members, and students from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.

The delegation was led by Professor Fujita Teruyuki from the Institute of Human Sciences and visited Khon Kaen University to discuss and exchange views on academic collaboration under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the CAMPUS-Asia 6 (CA6) program. The program is a regional international education initiative in Asia aimed at fostering global citizenship, cross-cultural learning, and academic exchange among students.

 

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation from the University of Tsukuba and emphasized the importance of strengthening international academic collaboration, particularly through the CAMPUS-Asia 6 program. He also reaffirmed Khon Kaen University’s readiness to further develop and expand cooperation with the University of Tsukuba in education, research, and the exchange of students and staff, with the goal of enhancing educational quality and building sustainable international academic networks.
Furthermore, Professor Fujita Teruyuki, Associate Professor Hirai Yusuke, and Assistant Professor Furuta Yuichi from the Institute of Human Sciences, together with faculty members from the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, presented updates on the progress of the CAMPUS-Asia 6 program, student exchange activities for the 2025–2026 academic years, and future directions for collaboration in teaching, research, and potential Double Degree Programs.
This visit marked an important step in strengthening and advancing the partnership between Khon Kaen University and the University of Tsukuba, with a shared focus on providing international learning experiences and equipping students with global skills, intercultural understanding, and the competencies required to become responsible global citizens in the 21st century.
