» Khon Kaen University Discusses Academic Cooperation with Eastern International University (EIU), Vietnam, Strengthening a Close Partnership (27 Views)

On 23 December 2025, Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Phanthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nawarat Wara-aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, and deans and administrators from College of Local Administration, Faculty of Public Health,  Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, College of Computing, and Faculty of Nursing, welcomed a delegation of senior administrators from Eastern International University (EIU), Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. The EIU delegation, led by Mr. Nguyễn Tấn Lợi, Chairman of EIU, and Dr. Ngô Minh Đức, President of EIU, paid a courtesy call and held a meeting to discuss academic cooperation. This continued visit reflects the close educational ties and the concrete, steadily developing collaboration between the two institutions.

The discussion focused on areas of cooperation that both institutions have consistently and tangibly implemented, including cooperative student programs and internship programs, staff exchange, student recruitment for graduate-level studies, and joint human resource development initiatives. These collaborative activities show strong potential for further expansion, with anticipated increases in student and staff exchanges. In addition, both sides discussed directions for extending cooperation into joint research and the development of joint or collaborative academic programs in high-potential fields, to strengthen academic collaboration in a sustainable, long-term manner.

In addition, the EIU delegation visited and held discussions with various faculties and colleges of Khon Kaen University, namely the College of Local Administration, the Faculty of Nursing, the College of Computing, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, the Faculty of Public Health, and the Faculty of Engineering, in accordance with the program. These visits aimed to exchange information and deepen mutual understanding at the faculty level, thereby supporting the continued, concrete implementation of academic cooperation between the two institutions.
