» Khon Kaen University Joins Vietnamese New Year Celebration (Tet Vietnam), Strengthening 50 Years of Thailand–Vietnam Diplomatic Relations (6 Views)

On February 12, 2026, at the Convention Hall of VT Namnueng Community, Udon Thani Province, Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul President of Khon Kaen University, together with Assoc. Prof. Niyom Wongpongkham, Vice President for Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, as well as deans and representatives from College of Local Administration, International College, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences,  Faculty of Architecture, and College of Graduate Study in Management, attended the “the Vietnamese New Year 2026 (Tet Vietnam). The event was organized by the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Khon Kaen.

The celebration was held under the theme “Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Spring, and Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam–Thailand Diplomatic Relations,” marking a significant milestone in the enduring friendship and cooperation between the two countries over the past five decades.

The event brought together representatives from various sectors, reflecting the strong collaborative spirit and cordial relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam across cultural, economic, social, and educational dimensions.

KKU’s participation underscores its role as a leading higher education institution in the region, committed to promoting international cooperation and sustained academic exchange. The 50th anniversary of Thailand–Vietnam diplomatic relations represents an important milestone in further advancing collaboration in education, research, and sustainable development in the years ahead.
