» KKU holds the Cultural Trip 2026 : Part 2 for international students to enhance multi- cultural learning (34 Views)

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, the International Affairs Division of Khon Kaen University organized a cultural exchange program for international students titled “Cultural Trip 2026: Part 2.” The program was attended by 30 international students currently studying at Khon Kaen University, including master’s and doctoral students as well as exchange students from various faculties. Participants represented six countries: Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, China, Vietnam, and Nigeria.

The program aimed to provide international students with opportunities to learn and exchange multicultural experiences in the northeastern region of Thailand, as well as to promote positive relationships among students from diverse national backgrounds.




During the trip, the group of students and staff from the International Affairs Division visited Ban Sawathi Village, a culturally distinctive community known for its cultural tourism. They explored “Hoop Taem” (traditional mural paintings) depicting the Sinxay story inside the ancient Sim (ordination hall) at Wat Chai Sri. The participants also enjoyed a traditional puppet performance, “Sinxay Noi Roi Pi,” and took part in various workshops, including making spider web brooches and “Sri Ho” keychains, which reflect local wisdom and craftsmanship.

The international students expressed great appreciation for the experience, noting that the program provided valuable insights into local culture, ways of life, and ethnic diversity in the region. It also helped foster friendships among international students and created a platform for exchanging perspectives on living and studying in Thailand.

On this occasion, all participants extended their sincere gratitude to the International Affairs Division of Khon Kaen University and all stakeholders involved in organizing this meaningful program, which offered both knowledge and valuable experiences. They also expressed their hope to participate in similar Cultural Trip programs again in the future.
