On February 4, 2019, Asst. Prof. Dr. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Collaboration presided over a meeting for KKU staff and students to learn about research fellowships and scholarships for graduate studies in Japan for academic year 2018 at the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University. The seminar was co-organized by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science office (JSPS) and the Japan Science & Technology Agency (JST), which led by Mr. Dai Tomiyama, Deputy Director of JSPS Bangkok Office and Mr. Yoshihide Kobayashi, Chief of JST Singapore Office and their team. JSPS & JST gave an overview of all JSPS & JST international activities, and presented information about the development of international cooperation in research. They also advertised their fellowships & scholarships in every fields, especially in sciences, agriculture, engineering, medicine & pharmacy, etc. KKU JSPS alumni also presented their experiences about research and PhD study in Japan. Many participants attending the event particularly appreciated hearing from fellow alumni about their experiences in Japan.
