On 6-8 December 2019, KKU lecturers and staff went to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to offer Royal Scholarship under Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Education Project to the Kingdom of Cambodia for 2020 under the Project of Human Resource Development for MoEYS. The scholarship offered by 5 faculties divided into 3 Doctoral degree and 6 Master degree. Khon Kaen University, with one mission to develop personnel skills of the neighboring countries and to promote good understanding and lasting relationships between Thailand and Cambodia responded to HRH wishes by joining the project.
On 9 December 2019, Gen. Vichit Yathip, the Chief of Administrative Committee of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Education Project and Mr. Sam Watana, the Vice Minister of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports held a meeting to summarize the result of candidates for Thai Royal Scholarship to continue higher education in Thailand.
