U.S. Embassy, Bangkok Thailand Collaborates with Khon Kaen University Held “Daniel Ho and Kealiʻi Ceballos” celebrating 200 year anniversary
On February 6, 2020 at 18.00-20.00 hrs. at The Auditorium Hall, Khon Kaen University Science Park. U.S. Embassy, Bangkok Thailand collaborates with Khon Kaen University held Daniel Ho and Kealiʻi Ceballos concert, in the occasion of 200 years anniversary relationship between The United States of America and the Kingdom of Thailand. This event honored by Dr. Somsak Changtrakul, Khon Kaen Governor delivered a welcome speech, Dr. Kittisan Sriruksa, Assistant to the President for Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, KKU delivered a thank you speech and Mr. Neal Murata Cultural Attaché, U.S Embassy, Bangkok, Thailand delivered an opening speech. Daniel Ho and Kealiʻi Ceballos band is a famous Hawaii music band and received Grammy award for 6 times . Moreover, this show was featuring by the students from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts for Hawaii music, Isan music, Hula dance, and Isan dance which illustrates an amazing cultural combination. In addition, this concert shows the significance of the continuously mutual relationship between U.S. Embassy, Bangkok Thailand and the kingdom of Thailand.
Besides, on January 5, 2020. The administrators of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts led by Asst.Prof.Dr.Burin Plengdeesakul, the Dean of Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts welcomed Mr. Neal Murata, Cultural Attaché U.S. Embassy, Bangkok Thailand and Daniel Ho and Kealiʻi Ceballos band. On the occasion of a visit and workshop exchange in music and Hula dance. This workshop aims to exchange music and local dance. Moreover, the Faculty of Fine And Applied Arts has “Sinsai band as a representative Isan band, also there are many students participating in the workshop from several majors.
