On July 23, 2020 at 09.00 hrs. at KKU Library, Khon Kaen University in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Research and Innovation and leading Thai and international universities held “Virtual Forum on AI for Healthcare in the Post COVID-19 era”. This event was honored by Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, Chairman of the University Council, who delivered an opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, who delivered a welcome speech, and Professor Dr. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Secretary-General National Research Council of Thailand, who delivered a key speech on the topic of “Will AI Change the World and Thailand: Healthcare Perspectives”. The aim of the event was to support and strengthen medical and public health by applying AI (Artificial Intelligence) through a network of cooperating international universities such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), and New York University (NYU) under the support of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Moreover, this event was arranged by Zoom online and there were various technology and communications agencies attending such as IBM and AIS.
