» KKU has been ranked third of the top 10 universities in Thailand for teaching environment by THE World University Rankings 2021 (2717 Views)

 

On September 2, 2020, Times Higher Education (THE) announced the World University Rankings, and Khon Kaen University has been ranked third of the top 10 universities in Thailand for teaching and learning environments under Chulalongkorn University and Mahidol University respectively. This educational indicator comprises the sub-indicators: survey reputation, the proportion of staff to students, the proportion of doctoral degree to bachelor degree students, the proportion of academic staff awarded doctoral degrees, and government revenue.   

There are five effective indicators, which are teaching (learning environment), research (quantity, income, and reputation), citations (research impact), international image (including staff, students, and research), and industrial revenue (knowledge transfer).

In addition, Times Higher Education (THE) revealed that the survey of academic reputation was conducted during September 2019 - February 2020. This operates every year and is based on teaching and research which is considered reliable. The statistical results show that KKU has several programs and worldwide scholars. Also, the data collected from the year 2020 was combined with that of the year 2019 and totalled over 22,000 units.
