» KKU students won the first prize of the 5th Silk Road Chinese language and culture knowledge competition in northeastern Thailand (1888 Views)

On 20 October, 2020 the Consulate General of the people's Republic of China in Khon Kaen, and co sponsored by the Confucius Institute of Khon Kaen University and Mahasarakham University held the The fifth "Silk Road" contest of Chinese language and culture knowledge among universities in Northeast Thailand by using Google meet. In response to China and Thailand's multiple policies calls for epidemic control, this activity changed offline activities in previous years to online activities. However, everyone's enthusiasm for the competition is still unchanged. More than 300 teachers and students from universities in Northeast Thailand participated in the activity. 
   

In this event, a total of 12 universities from northeast Thailand participated in the competition, including the National University of Laos. The competition is divided into a Chinese video competition and a Chinese language and culture knowledge contest. It aims to inherit the fine tradition of friendly exchanges between Chinese and Thai people, provide a stage for young Thai students to display their talents, stimulate their enthusiasm for learning Chinese, encourage more young students to join the Chinese learning team, select and cultivate high-end local Chinese skills, and then promote high-level cultural exchanges between China and Thailand.

In order to adapt to the development of the times, young people need more awareness and the ability to cross-cultural communication. Cultural exchanges between China and Thailand should also continue to work in-depth.

After five hours of fierce competition, Khon Kaen University won the first prize, Mahasarakham University and Nakhon Phanom University won the second prize, the National University of Laos, the Udon Thani Rajabhat University, the Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University won the third prize, and the Royal University of Loei Rajabhat and other six teams won the "Excellent Award". Khon Kaen University won the "Excellent Organization Unit Award"
