» Representatives of Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen welcome delegates from Japan Foundation, Bangkok (1429 Views)

On November 5, 2020, at 10.00 hrs., at Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen, representatives of Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen led by Assoc. Prof. Uthaiwan Danvivath, Director of the Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen, welcomed Mr. Yuichi Matsuo, Director, Japanese Studies and Intellectual Exchange Dept., and his delegation from Japan Foundation, Bangkok, to discuss and exchange academic collaborations, including cultures and institute establishment. Nowadays, we have an aging society and the COVID-19 situation. Therefore, the foundation would like to give knowledge, academic and research exchanges, art and culture, and Japanese studies to open opportunities for everyone. 

The Japan Foundation, Bangkok, was established in 1972 as a specialized legal entity supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The activities of the Japan Foundation aim to exchange Japanese culture, introduce academics, and also exchange students worldwide.  

At 11.00 hrs., at the Institute for Research and Development in Teacher Profession for ASEAN (IRDTP), Khon Kaen University, the delegation visited the administrators of Khon Kaen University led by Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasitha, Vice President for Education and Academic Services, to exchange learning and teaching research and Japanese studies as well as discuss Japanese university collaboration.
