» Administrators of Khon Kaen University attend the graduation ceremony of the dual degree cooperative project between Khon Kaen University and Southwest University for the academic year 2020 (1429 Views)

On December 15, 2020, at the Han Hong meeting room, Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen University, a graduation ceremony for the dual degree cooperative project between Khon Kaen University and Southwest University was held. Administrators of Khon Kaen University were in attendance, led by Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, who presided over the ceremony together with Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasitha, Vice President for Education and Academic Services, Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Orathai Piayura, Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Sumalee Chaijaroen, Dean of Faculty of Education; Assoc. Prof. Paiboon Daosodsai, Dean of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Asst. Prof. Uthaiwan Danwiwat, Confucius Director (Thai Director). Also in attendance were International Affairs Division’s administrators, and lecturers from Business Chinese Program and Teaching English as a Foreign Language Program, who were all honored to attend the ceremony. Besides, there were 57 graduates this academic year for which Khon Kaen University had been in collaboration with Southwest University, People's Republic of China in teaching and learning dual degrees, both in a Bachelor of Arts Program in Business Chinese, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (since 2007), and Bachelor of Education Program in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Faculty of Education (since 2013). There has also been cooperation between the two universities with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, representing a strong relationship between the two countries in education and culture.
