» The President and the administrators of Khon Kaen University attend the 2020 Asia Confucius Institutes Cooperation Forum (710 Views)

On December 15, 2020, the President of Khon Kaen University (KKU), Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, together with Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Uthaiwan Danwiwat, the Director of Confucius Institute of KKU, attended the virtual conference of the 2020 Asia Confucius Institutes Cooperation Forum organized by Beijing Language and Culture University and the Chinese International Education Foundation.

The objectives of this conference were to further develop collaboration for the development of Confucius Institutes (CI), to motivate the partnership universities in advancing the sustainable and high-quality development of CI, to strengthen the coordinated development of CI, to establish CI Alliance with characteristics, and to develop the qualified overseas teaching corps of CI.

Participating at the event were more than 130 attendees from all the Confucius Institutes in Asia along with 7 representatives from Asian Universities who delivered speeches with the aims of strengthening the exchanges and cooperation among Confucius Institutes and also to explore the opportunities to further promote the sustainable, high quality of the Confucius Institutes effectively and successfully into the future.
