» KKU administrators join the UNESCO meeting aiming to expand the education network in Asia and to discuss a platform for teachers' development (1198 Views)

The main office in France of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) collaborated with Korea National University of Education (KNUE), South Korea, to hold the meeting “The 2020 UNESCO UNITWIN International Seminar”. The welcoming speech was made by Dr. Seong Joo Kang, Vice President of Korea National University of Education (KNUE), South Korea.  Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of KKU, said “Congratulations on taking part in this meeting. In this meeting, there are 60 participants from Korea National University of Education (KNUE), South Korea, and over 40 online participants from 6 countries, along with 10 online participants from KKU meeting from 2nd floor, meeting room 201, Institute for Research and Development in teaching profession for ASEAN, Khon Kaen University, on December 16, 2020”.

The objective of the 2020 UNESCO UNITWIN International Seminar was to expand the educational network in Asia, which is the main objective of the UNESCO organization that wants to develop the quality of teachers' education even further. Additionally, the Korea National University of Education initiated a Memorandum of cooperation with 4 universities, including, Khon Kaen University from Thailand, Souphanouvong University from Lao People's Democratic Republic, University of Education, Vietnam National University from Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Indonesia University of Education from Republic of Indonesia.
