On January 14, 2021, Asst. Prof. Dr. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Collaboration, joined the SMBC Review and Selection by SMBC Scholarship Committee Meeting for FY 2020 (Online) to present the information of KKU students who applied for the SMBC Bangkok Branch Scholarship Program. This online session also had other Universities' presentations on the profiles of nominations which are Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Prince of Songkla University, and Thammasat University.
SMBC scholarships are awarded to students from the first to the fourth year of undergraduate studies in a faculty or department related to Japanese language & culture, economics, business administration, commerce, or law who achieve a GPA of at least 3.00 and have demonstrated a hard-working attitude in their studies. These students should also have the potential of developing towards becoming leaders in their own fields for the benefit of Thailand.
This scholarship gives importance to education which is a basic factor for the development of the student and the nation. This scholarship also has no contract or commitment, and each scholarship is worth 40,000 Baht.
