QSHC DRIVE THRU to decrease the risk of COVID-19 infection

Queen Sirikit Heart Center sets a measure for surveillance and control against the spread of the Coronavirus, COVID-19, by adding a service channel or the DRIVE THRU service (getting medicine without meeting the doctor). This measure has been undertaken since January 11, 2021, enabling those receiving health care service at the center to conveniently take back home their regular medications, according to the Social Distancing practice. The measure also lessens the spread of diseases at the hospital.

The patients or relatives can drive to receive the prescribed medicine if they have the appointment. On the appointment date, they can drive to the dropping and picking-up point at the front of the hospital and wait at the zone with the sign that reads: DRIVE THRU MEDICINE. This is the check point for officer’s inspection before getting the medicine from the pharmacist. The whole process will take approximately 1-5 minutes. It lessens the crowd, the waiting time, and the risk of infection of the disease.
